Initial Training Network NANO-HOST Proposal no. 215193-2

NANO-HOST
Workshop
SINGLE SITES in HETEROGENEOUS CATALYSIS
Milan, 28-29 September 2009
The first NANO-HOST Workshop will take place in Milan over two days. It will deal with various aspects of Single-Site Heterogeneous Catalysts: the definition, the preparation, the characterisation and the catalytic use of these systems, where atomically separated and well-defined centres are the active sites. The meeting will also be the occasion for having a global overview on the research activity of the youngest researchers of the NANO-HOST and IDECAT NoEs, with special attention to PhD students, post-doctoral fellows as well as young scientists, whose participation is encouraged. For these reasons, the Workshop can be considered halfway between a short ‘school’ on catalysis, with educational purposes, and a ‘two-day congress’, where up-to-date innovative results are presented and discussed.
